The short answer

Our sale section mixes new and pre-owned. Clearance models are new, reduced to make room. Overstock, demo and trade-in units cost less because they've been on display, been used or had a previous owner, and they're final sale. The savings can be real. Read the listing, look at every photo and ask questions before you buy.

  • Want new, with the lower price? Clearance.
  • Want the biggest saving and happy to check the unit carefully? Trade-in, demo or overstock.
  • Not sure? Call us about the specific unit. We'll tell you what we know.

The four kinds of sale listing

The listing title tells you which kind it is, for example "(Trade In)", "(Overstock)" or a distance like "0km".

Clearance

New · reduced to make room

New models at a lower price. The compare-at price on the listing shows what it sold for before. Ask us about the warranty on the model you choose.

See clearance

Overstock

Extra stock · often 0 km

Units we had too many of. Some were on display and have cosmetic marks, which the listing and photos call out. Overstock items are final sale.

Demo and floor models

Used for display or demonstrations

Units that stood on a showroom floor or were used to show customers. Our Terms say demo products are sold as is, with no warranty, and all sales are final.

See demo units

Trade-ins

Owned before · traded in to us

Pre-owned units customers traded in. Listings give a condition, like Good or Great, the distance ridden where known, and photos of the actual unit. Sold as is and final sale.

Questions to ask about a pre-owned unit

Call us with the listing open. Good answers to these make an as-is purchase far less of a gamble.

  1. The photos Is there anything they don't show? Can you send another angle?
  2. The distance How far has it been ridden, if that's known?
  3. The battery How old is it, has it been replaced, and how is it holding a charge?
  4. What's included Charger, keys or fobs, manual, mirrors and any accessories.
  5. Its history Any repairs, parts replaced or changes from stock? A replaced display can reset the distance.
  6. Time in storage How long has it been sitting? A battery left flat for months can be damaged.
  7. Coverage Does any warranty or coverage apply to this unit?
  8. The saving Compare the price with the price new shown on the listing.
  9. Where it is Which showroom has it, and can it be delivered?

The battery is the part to ask about first

On any used scooter or e-bike, the battery wears fastest and costs the most to replace. A lower price can disappear if the battery needs replacing soon after you buy.

  • Ask how old the battery is and whether it's been replaced. Some listings call out new batteries.
  • Ask how the unit does on a full charge compared with its listed range.
  • Price in a replacement if the battery is original on an older unit. We stock batteries and chargers.

Questions we get asked

Is a trade-in or demo covered by a warranty?
Our Terms of Service say demo and consignment products are sold as is, with no warranty. Trade-in listings say sold as is. Ask us about the specific unit before you buy.
Can I return a sale item?
Demo, pre-owned, trade-in and overstock items aren't eligible for return under our return policy. Clearance items aren't on that list.
What does 0km in a title mean?
The distance on the unit. 0km means it hasn't been ridden, though it may have been on display.
What does scratch and dent mean?
Cosmetic marks from display, storage or moving it around. The photos show them.
Can I see the unit in person?
Yes. Call us to find out which showroom has it, and to check it's still available.
Can I finance a sale item?
Financing is available, and all credit types are welcome to apply. Financed products aren't eligible for return or trade-in. See financing.
Why is a trade-in cheaper than new?
It's had an owner, it has wear, and it's sold as is. That's why the questions above matter.
