Pick the bike that fits the rider first, then the riding. The X3 Mini is sized for smaller riders. The X3 Pro and Sting R MX4 share a motor design: the X3 Pro is lighter and lower, the Sting R is bigger, with a swappable battery. The MX5 Pro adds a 72V battery and adjustable air suspension. The Komodo is the largest in the lineup.

Some Talaria pages list figures two ways (for example the Sting R MX4's weight and the X3 Mini's). Where they conflict we've used the more detailed source or left it for you to ask. Listed range is a best case: rider weight, terrain and riding style change it a lot.
Sizing: start with the seat height
The most common mistake is buying for the bike instead of the rider. Compare each seat height with the rider's inseam.
- Closer to the inseam means more of the foot on the ground at a stop. That's more confidence for newer riders.
- Taller seats come with bigger wheels and more suspension travel, which suit experienced riders on rough ground.
- Weight matters too. Think about lifting it onto a rack or out of a ditch. The X3 Pro is listed at 125 lb, the Komodo at 216 lb.
- The seat settles when you sit. The suspension compresses under the rider, so the seat sits a little lower than its listed height.
Sitting on the bikes settles it faster than any table. Our showrooms can show you the difference.
- Inseam. In socks, back against a wall, slide a hardcover book up between your legs until it's snug. Measure from the floor to the top edge.
- Seat height. From the product page. The bigger the gap between B and A, the more you'll be on tiptoe when you stop.

The Komodo: the big one
The Komodo is the largest bike in the lineup, with 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, a 96V 45Ah battery, air suspension front and rear, and four ride modes including reverse. Its 910 mm seat and 216 lb weight make it a bike for experienced riders.

- Where you'll ride Off-road, closed-course or private property. Check your local rules for the places you have in mind.
- Gear Helmet, goggles, gloves, boots and body protection. Budget for them now.
- Transport A hitch rack, trailer or truck bed, and the weight you'll be lifting.
- Charging Where it will charge, and how long you'll wait between rides.

Questions we get asked
Which Talaria is best for a beginner?
Choose by the rider's size first. Smaller riders usually start on the X3 Mini, and many adults start on the X3 Pro because it's lighter and lower. Sitting on them at a showroom settles it quickly.
What's the difference between the X3 Pro and the Sting R?
They share a motor design. The X3 Pro is lighter (125 lb) and lower (31.5 in seat), with a built-in battery. The Sting R is bigger (33.5 in seat), with a swappable 45Ah battery and a gearbox drive.
What does the MX5 Pro add?
A 72V 40Ah battery, adjustable air and spring suspension, three ride modes and a colour display.
Can I ride it on the road?
Talaria bikes are sold for off-road, closed-course or private-property use. Read the notice on each product page and check your local rules.
Are they OK for kids?
The X3 Pro page lists it for riders 16 and up. Youth models are for use under adult supervision only. For younger riders, see our kids' rides.
