The four numbers that matter
- Range. Listed range is measured in easy conditions. Owners and independent tests often see around half of it once a heavier rider, hills, cold and full speed come in. Aim for about double your round trip, or plan to charge at the other end.
- Weight. If you'll carry it up stairs or onto transit, every pound counts. Pick it up in a showroom before you decide.
- Tires. Both models use 8.5-inch air-filled tires, which ride softer over bumps but can go flat. Check the pressure weekly. Tires are wear parts, so check the warranty terms.
- Rider weight. Both list a 220 lb maximum. Count your bag too. Near the limit, expect less range and slower hills.
- Stem and folding latch. Fold and unfold it a few times. It should lock with no wobble.
- Handlebar. Brake lever, throttle and display. Check you can read the display in daylight.
- Deck. Stand on it in the shoes you'll ride in. The battery sits inside the deck on many models.
- Tires. Air-filled tires ride softer but need their pressure checked, and can go flat.
- Rear brake and light. Squeeze the lever and look for the brake light.

How far will it really go?
Often around half the listed figure in real riding. A heavier rider, hills, cold and full speed all shorten it. Choose one whose listed range is about double your round trip.
Does cold weather matter?
Yes. Cold cuts range, and a cold battery should warm up indoors before you charge it.
Can I ride it in the rain?
Plan not to. The water ratings mean splash resistance, and water damage isn't covered by our warranty.
What if I get a flat?
Air-filled tires can puncture. Keep the pressure right, and our service team can help with repairs and parts. How service works.
Will it handle hills?
Gentle ones. Both have 250 W motors, which slow down on steep hills, especially near the 220 lb limit.
Can I take it on transit?
Both fold. Check your transit system's rules, and carry it to see if the weight works for you.
Where can I ride it?
Kick scooter rules differ by municipality. Check your local rules first.
