EZ RIDES E-Bike Terms and Conditions
These Terms (“Agreement”) form a binding contract between the customer (“Customer”) and EZ RIDES (“Company”) regarding the purchase and use of an e-bike (“Product”). By purchasing, the Customer agrees to these terms. 1. Compliance: The Customer must follow all federal, provincial, and municipal laws, including traffic and safety rules in Ontario. EZ RIDES is not liable for fines or violations. 2. Warranty/Returns: The Product includes a limited manufacturer warranty (details in documentation or online). Returns/refunds follow Company policy; Customers must meet deadlines, conditions, or restocking fees. 3. Shipping/Delivery: Delays may occur beyond EZ RIDES’ control. Estimated delivery times are not guaranteed. EZ RIDES is not liable for inconvenience, loss, or damage caused by delays. 4. Responsibility/Liability: Customers assume full responsibility for safety and actions. EZ RIDES is not liable for accidents, injuries, property damage, or third-party claims. Total liability is limited to the Product purchase price. Customers must maintain insurance, licenses, permits, or registrations. 5. Indemnification: Customers indemnify and hold EZ RIDES, its officers, employees, and agents harmless from claims, damages, or expenses from Product use, including legal fees. 6. Governing Law: This Agreement is governed by Ontario and Canadian law; disputes fall under Ontario courts’ exclusive jurisdiction. 7. Amendments: EZ RIDES may update these Terms at any time; changes are posted online. 8. Acknowledgement: By purchasing, the Customer acknowledges reading, understanding, and agreeing to these Terms.
TERMS OF PURCHASE
PAYMENT RESPONSIBILITY
By making a purchase, the buyer agrees to be solely responsible for any fees associated with third-party transactions, specifically those made through PayPal and any applicable currency exchange rates. These fees may include PayPal processing fees and conversion costs for payments made in foreign currencies. The buyer is responsible for ensuring that these additional charges are covered in the total payment amount.
LAYAWAY PROGRAM
LAYAWAY POLICY

Minimum Payment: Customers are required to make a minimum payment of 10% of the total order value per month.

Payment Period: The layaway period must be fulfilled within 12 months from the date of the initial deposit.

Model Updates: If the manufacturer model unit changes after the, the customer will be offered the newest model available in stock. The customer is responsible for paying any price difference between the original item and the new model.

Deposit and Layaway Fee: The deposit to activate the layaway must be 10% of the total order to initiate the layaway. This is non-refundable as per the refund agreement. Additionally, the layaway fee must also be paid for in full.

Customer Responsibility: Customers are responsible for maintaining a scheduled payment each month. The minimum payment must be 10% per month. Failure to make payments as scheduled may result in cancellation of the layaway agreement.

Cancellation and Default: If payments are not made as scheduled, the layaway agreement may be canceled, and the deposit will be forfeited. The payments will be added to the customers profile as store credit.

Communication: Customers will receive updated invoices sent via email or text (whichever is chosen) and notifications regarding any changes to their layaway
The customer enters this policy when Layaway Fee is added to the invoice.
WARRANTY POLICY
COVERAGE
Standard 1-Year Warranty: The "Manufacturer" warrants that the products sold by EZ Rides (the "Products") will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase or 750km on the product.
Parts Only 30-Day Warranty: Manufacturer warrants that the products sold by EZ Rides (the "Products") will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 30-days from the date of purchase.
Parts Only 3-Month: Manufacturer warrants that the products sold by EZ Rides (the "Products") will be free from defects in materials for a period of 3-Months from the date of purchase.

Enclosed Mobility Warranty: Manufacturer warrants that the products sold by EZ Rides (the "Products") will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase or 750km on the product. The battery is covered for 6 months or a total of 750 kms. Repairs are conducted at our designated service center; however, customers are responsible for transportation. A $100 service fee is applied to all enclosed mobility scooters. This fee covers storage, diagnostics, and manufacturer required paperwork. Warranty Policy aligns with the manufacturer's terms, and we are not liable if a claim is denied by the manufacturer.
Extended Warranty (Spring): Based on a Standard 1-Year Warranty, this extensions allows for the warranty to begin on the first day or Spring (1-year from the first day of Spring or 750km on the product.
No Warranty Coverage: Consignment and Demo products sold by EZ Rides are sold “AS IS.” These products carry no manufacturer, dealer, or EZ Rides warranty, express or implied. EZ Rides makes no guarantees regarding condition, performance, or future serviceability. All sales are final. EZ Rides is not responsible for repairs, parts, labor, transportation, or denied manufacturer warranty claims after purchase. Any existing manufacturer warranty may be expired, void, or non-transferable.
TERMS
Unit subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this Warranty Policy. This Warranty Policy applies only to the original end-user customer who purchased the Products from EZ Rides or an authorized EZ Rides dealer. The Vendor is maintaining the manufacturer's warranty for the Products and is not responsible for any shipping delays or other issues related to the manufacturer.
PROOF OF PURCHASE
Proof of purchase is required to make a warranty claim. The customer must provide a copy of the original sales receipt or invoice.
Claims Process:
- Claims Procedure: To avail warranty service, customers must submit a service request on the website portal (https://ezrides.ca/pages/service) and complete all sections of the form.
- Inspection and Approval: Upon assessment by authorized EZ RIDES personnel, if the issue is deemed within the warranty scope.
WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
This warranty does not cover:
- Consumables or wearables (also known as wear parts), including but not limited to seats, grips, tires, tubes, pedals, plastics, or scratches, cracks, scuffs, dents, or any kind of damage that occurs outside of the purchase or if the vehicle is sold under a scratch and dent sale specified on the invoice.
- Any modifications made to the vehicle or any usage of the vehicle falling outside of the manufacturer's or the Vendor's recommended usage, including but not limited to: exceeding the weight capacity of the vehicle, removing the governor or tampering with the hardware of the vehicle in any way, exceeding the number of manufacturer recommended riders or carrying passengers when the vehicle is not designed to (note that it is illegal to carry passengers on mobility style scooters off of private property and this can void your warranty), riding the vehicle in the rain or snow. Please note that wiring harnesses, connectors, controllers motors, batteries, displays, and all electrical features on the Products are not waterproof.
Water damage is not covered under warranty and corrosion or water damage of any kind will void the warranty.
- Any other damages or defects caused by: normal wear and tear, abuse, neglect, accident, improper installation, maintenance or repair, unauthorized modification, use outside of the manufacturer's or Vendor's recommended usage, or other causes beyond the control of the Vendor.
CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY
Customers are responsible for bringing any defective product to an EZ Rides location for warranty evaluation and repair. All shipping, transportation, or handling costs associated with delivering the product to an EZ Rides facility are the customer’s responsibility. Customers are also responsible for paying any applicable deductibles or service fees, as follows: Enclosed Mobility Scooters: $99.99 service fee; Gas Engine Products: $99.99 service fee. Note: Diagnostic services for issues not covered under warranty are subject to a mandatory minimum charge equivalent to one hour of labor.
WARRANTY SERVICE CALLS
The warranty claim provides service warranty calls within a 25km radius from store purchased. Warranty service calls beyond 25km store radius follow the Standard Delivery Structure fees.
WARRANTY DISCLAIMER
EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY SET FORTH IN THIS WARRANTY POLICY, THE VENDOR DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THE VENDOR'S LIABILITY UNDER THIS WARRANTY POLICY IS STRICTLY LIMITED TO THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT OR, AT THE VENDOR'S OPTION, TO THE REFUND OF THE PURCHASE PRICE PAID BY THE CUSTOMER FOR THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT.
This Warranty Policy constitutes the entire agreement between the customer and the Vendor regarding the warranty for the Products, and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous representations, understandings, agreements, warranties, and conditions, whether written or oral, express or implied.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
EZ RIDES shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages arising from the use or inability to use the product under this warranty. By purchasing products from EZ RIDES, the customer acknowledges and agrees to comply with the terms and conditions outlined herein. LIMITED WARRANTY FOR BATTERY AND BATTERY REPLACEMENT
The battery warranty is provided through the manufacturer of the product, not EZ Rides. This warranty is valid for six (6) months from the date of purchase or 750 km on the product, provided the battery is maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty policy, unless otherwise noted. The standard battery warranty covers defects in material and workmanship, including battery replacement if necessary.
Proof of purchase is required for warranty coverage, and the customer is responsible for bringing the product to an EZ Rides location for warranty service. EZ Rides is not responsible for any shipping delays from the manufacturer.
Important SLA Battery Information
If your unit is equipped with Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) batteries, please note:
- SLA batteries can be affected by cold weather and user error, including improper charging, lack of use, or discharged/low voltage caused by overcharging or undercharging.
- These issues are not covered under the manufacturer’s warranty and are considered user error.

Warranty Exclusions
The manufacturer’s warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear, abuse, misuse, unauthorized modifications, or repairs.
- Improper handling, storage, or maintenance, including exposure to elements such as rain, snow, or freezing temperatures.
- Riding in harsh weather conditions (rain, snow, extreme cold), which will void the warranty.
- Water damage or corrosion to batteries and connectors (these components are not waterproof).
- Exceeding the weight limit, which puts unnecessary strain on the battery.
- Overcharging the battery beyond the manufacturer’s recommended charge time, which can cause permanent damage.
