Two Ways to Pay for Year Two

We stand behind every ride we sell. But like any vehicle, a part can fail. Once your factory warranty ends, you pay for repairs yourself.

Without Ride Guard

Pay for Each Repair

If a part fails after year one, you pay for it.

Example Part PricesNova Lite 2 enclosed scooter

  • ControllerRuns the motor $349.99
  • Main CableThe main wiring $269.00
  • Rear AxleDrives the rear wheels $499.00

Prices for the parts alone, on ezrides.ca today. Examples only: they don't mean these parts will fail.

With Ride Guard

One Price, Paid Once

From$299once

Your price depends on what your ride cost. Example: a $7,999 Nova Lite 2 enclosed scooter pays $749.

One known price, paid once.

  • Up to 3 claims in year two
  • Ride Guard decides: a repair, a new part or a replacement ride

Next to the Price of the Ride

Example: Nova Lite 2 enclosed scooter $7,999
Ride Guard $749

A $7,999 Nova Lite 2 pays $749 once: about 9% of its price. Spread over year two, that's about $2.05 a day.

We hope you never need it. If you do, a claim starts with one email to Ride Guard.

What's Covered, in Plain Words

Straight from Ride Guard's terms, in everyday words.

Covered

  • A part that fails because of a defect in how it was made or built, such as the controller, display or wiring
  • In year two, after your factory warranty ends
  • Up to 3 claims. Ride Guard decides: a repair, a new part or a replacement ride

Not Covered

  • Normal wear and tear: tires, brake pads, and battery range that fades with use
  • Accidents, misuse or neglect
  • Water, weather and other environmental damage
  • Theft, fire and vandalism
  • Cosmetic issues, like scratches
  • Rental or commercial use

Defect or Damage?

Your display stops working on its own because a part inside was faulty. That's a defect. Covered.

Your display cracks when your ride tips over. That's accidental damage. Not covered.

How It Works

  1. Buy It

Buy it with your ride, or within 90 days after: on this page, by phone at 1-844-239-7433, or at a showroom.

  2. Register It at rideguard.ca

Paying doesn't register it: this is a separate step on Ride Guard's website, and it also has to be done within 90 days of buying your ride. Use the name on your ride's invoice.

    You need two things:

    1. The invoice from when you bought your ride.
    2. Its serial number (VIN). It's usually printed on the frame. Can't find it? Call us at 1-844-239-7433.

A family member can help. Ride Guard emails you a confirmation: keep it with your invoice.

Questions, Answered

Still have a question? Call us at 1-844-239-7433.

How do I buy it?

Online: answer the two questions under Buy Ride Guard and tap Buy Now. The secure checkout opens: type your email, card and address, then tap Pay now. By phone: call EZ Rides at 1-844-239-7433 and we can add it for you. In person: at any EZ Rides showroom. However you buy it, then register it at rideguard.ca within 90 days of buying your ride.

I bought the ride for a parent. Whose name goes on it?

Ride Guard covers the person who bought the ride, so register it with the name on the invoice. A family member can help fill in the form.

Is my battery covered?

A battery that slowly holds less charge is normal wear, and wear isn't covered. Ride Guard also sells a separate 12-month Battery Coverage add-on, from $199. Ask us what it covers.

Doesn't my ride already have a warranty?

Yes, a factory warranty, and it's listed on your invoice. For most rides it covers the first year. Ride Guard covers the year after: the second year after you bought your ride. It adds to your factory warranty; it doesn't replace it.

Who is Ride Guard?

Ride Guard Canada Inc. provides the warranty and handles claims. EZ Rides sells it. You can reach Ride Guard at contact@rideguard.ca and read its full terms (PDF).

Can I buy it when I buy my ride?

Yes. Buy it with your ride, or within 90 days after. Either way, register it at rideguard.ca within 90 days of buying your ride.

It's been more than 90 days. Can I still add it?

Ride Guard has to be registered within 90 days of buying your ride, so it can't be added after that. Call EZ Rides at 1-844-239-7433 and we'll talk through your options.

How do I make a claim?

Email Ride Guard at contact@rideguard.ca with your invoice, your ride's VIN, a short description of the problem and any photos. Ride Guard reviews claims within 10 business days and tells you by email what it will do: repair your ride, replace the part or replace your ride.

Do I have to buy my ride from EZ Rides?

Ride Guard is for rides bought from an authorized seller, like EZ Rides. Bought yours somewhere else? Call EZ Rides at 1-844-239-7433 and we'll check.

Can I transfer it if I sell my ride?

No. Ride Guard covers the person who bought the ride and can't be transferred.
